One trend I have been seeing more recently as summer slowly approaches is the cottage core aesthetic. This, when referring to fashion, is a trend full of floral, flowy dresses and skirts with a subtle, neutral colour palette. If, like me, you often spend your time scrolling through Pinterest, you will have definitely seen this trend. Whether it started with Taylor Swift’s newest albums, Folkore and Evermore, giving us all the countryside vibes or just because we have had to romanticise our time spent outdoors, it seems we are all loving this trend.
Let’s have a look at some pieces that fit this trend. First of all, H&M’s new ‘Meadow’ collection is providing all of the floral aesthetic vibes we need this summer. From long floaty dresses to linen blend co-ords all with a beautiful hand-painted floral print. I am desperate to get my hands on some of these pieces, but of course they sold out pretty much straight away. But it’s not just H&M jumping on this trend, other brands such as Stradivarius, Pull & Bear and Mango have some gorgeous cottage core pieces available. And this isn’t just about clothes, accessories are a big part of this trend such as the basket bag and of course a picnic blanket. Straw hats also fit into the cottage core aesthetic and H&M and Mango have some amazing ones which I will link below. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to pack up a picnic basket, put a cutesy dress on and go for a picnic with my friends, and these pieces are perfect for that.
So, that’s all for today! Have a browse at the products down below to satisfy all of your cottage core needs. Thanks for reading!
