S/S HAUL: What I've been buying recently

As mentioned in my Spring/Summer wishlist post, a few weeks ago I went through my summer wardrobe and decided on a few items I needed to add. Fast forward a few weeks and here I am to show you what I’ve been buying. I won’t lie, I’ve definitely bought more than I needed however they are all pieces I love and will wear over and over. So, here goes.

First up, I made a Zara order. Zara have some amazing pieces this season however I managed to resist the items I didn’t need and bought a blue striped shirt and a gingham dress. These items had been on my wishlist for a while, so I knew I had to get them. I can’t wait to wear the gingham dress on a picnic sometime soon and the shirt is such a staple that I will wear all year round.

Next up is Depop, I still have a lot of items on my wishlist on there to be honest but I’m trying to stop myself for now until at least the weather gets warmer. But I have found some gorgeous white dresses on there and a white dress is one thing that is missing from my summer wardrobe. What I did buy, however, was a cream, satin midi skirt. I don’t know about anyone else but this time of year I love a midi skirt. You can dress them up, dress them down, wear them with a crop top on a hot day or a cozy cardigan on a cooler day. They are great. But I only seemed to have patterned ones in my wardrobe so decided to buy a simple, champagne colour that would go with everything. One other thing that I have bought recently on Depop is a corset top originally from Zara. This was brand new with tags and only cost me £8 so I couldn’t resist. I can’t wait to style this up with a pair of jeans and some strappy heels to go for drinks in the summer.

Okay I can’t write this post without mentioning some gorgeous pieces (that have actually just been delivered) from H&M. Their new ‘a meadow of wildflowers’ collection is stunning. I have been waiting to get my hands on 2 particular pieces for a couple of weeks now and they finally came back in stock this weekend so of course I ordered them straight away. And they were definitely worth the wait. I desperately need to go out and show these dresses off. I am OBSESSED.

And finally, I have to mention something I got from ASOS last week. You may think this isn’t something I would usually go for, however I love it. It’s the new Adidas Originals crew neck tennis sweatshirt. I went for the classic white and green because one of my all-time favourite pair of trainers are white and green stan smiths and they match perfectly. My vision for this is to wear it over a white dress on a cool summer night or go for a more 80s vibe with some high waisted mom jeans and trainers. And of course, it goes perfectly with the white tennis skirt that I bought last summer if you want to go all out tennis vibes. They also do the shorts and other items to match but for now I’m going to stick with the sweatshirt.

So that’s it. That’s my little roundup of what I’ve been buying recently. I have now said to myself that I need to start wearing these pieces before buying anything else, so you heard it here first. Don’t let me buy any more clothes for at least a month…Thanks for reading!
