The perfect transitional piece: the sweater vest

So as its getting to the end of summer I am getting way too excited about Autumn/Winter fashion and I think I have found the perfect transitional piece. The sweater vest. You may have seen them on Instagram by now but I had been looking for the right one for months and I finally found it on the H&M website. I decided to go for the cream one as I knew I wanted to wear it over white shirts and t-shirts and also paired with black cycling shorts but now I'm debating whether to get the black one too as I know I'll wear them both so much.

Here I have styled it with a simple white shirt from Topshop and with jeans this would be a perfect outfit for the September weather. At the moment I have also been wearing it on its own with jeans or trousers which I love or with cycling shorts and a small t-shirt underneath. It is so comfortable and is the ideal fit for how I want to style it. I also can't wait to style it with long Autumn dresses like in the image below and my trusty Dr Martens as well as layering with turtle necks and winter coats for the colder weather.

H&M have the best knitwear at the moment and most of them are part of their sustainable collection 'Conscious' which is even better. They are amazing quality and are also affordable so if you're looking for some new pieces for your Autumn wardrobe definitely have a look.
