WHAT I WOULD WEAR FOR: Spring edition

Okay so it seems Spring has most definitely sprung, and I am here for it. So, let’s have a look at what I will be wearing throughout this season.
One thing I love to do this time of year is go on picnics but as the weather is still a little chilly you may be wondering what to wear. First of all, I would say pick something comfortable, you’re probably going to be sat in a field, so you don’t want to feel uncomfortable. My go to outfit for a picnic is a dress, paired with a cardigan (because British weather) and my trusty converse. I always like to go for my converse because they are black, and I know I won’t mind if I get them dirty. If a dress isn’t your style you could go for a pair of jeans with a tank top and an oversized shirt or a cardigan if you want more of a cosy vibe. So, that’s what I would wear for a picnic this season.
Next up let’s talk about outdoor eating/drinking. The latest ease of restrictions in England opened pubs and restaurants but only outdoors and like I mentioned before it’s still quite chilly outside. So, depending on the weather, I would probably wear a cutesy, spring dress with trainers and a nice jumper over the top, maybe a knit sweater for a more-chic look or a sweatshirt for a more casual look. This way you can take it off if you get too hot and pop it around your shoulders. Perfect. Another outfit I would wear, possibly on a cooler evening, is a pair of jeans/trousers, a jumper/sweatshirt and a blazer. That way you still look put together with the blazer but are actually nice and warm as you are layered up. And if that doesn’t feel dressy enough you could even stick on some strappy heels.
Now let’s talk about going to the beach. As we are still not allowed to travel abroad in England, you may be considering having a road trip to the British seaside. I don’t know about you, but I always struggle with what to wear for these types of days out. So, if you’re going on the beach, I would suggest wearing shoes you don’t mind getting sand on. Personally, if it was a warm-ish day, I would wear a dress either short or midi, depending on the weather, and my Dr Martens. This way you look put together but are still prepared for the wet sandy beaches. Jacket-wise I would probably go for a shacket and maybe even a jumper underneath for an extra layer. The British seaside can get very cold. Plus, if you have layers, you can always take them off if it does end up getting hot.
Okay, so that’s my little ‘what I would wear for’ Spring edition. I hope this has helped anyone struggling with what to wear recently. I will include some outfit inspo I have found on Instagram below. Thanks for reading!
